Energy, raw materials, food and the places we live are the questions that will define the next twenty years. They call for change along more than one route: for breakthroughs, and for thousands of organisations working more efficiently on data they don't yet have.
That is where our portfolio sits. Each of our companies makes something measurable that used to be estimated — soil moisture, vehicle use, goods flows, professional competence, organisational knowledge — and thereby makes decisions possible that weren't before.
This isn't diversification for its own sake. It is the same move, executed five times in a different market.
Being profitable is not a side issue in that: an initiative that needs a subsidy stops when the subsidy stops.

- An organisation that holdsSince 2024 a management team, a salary structure and a formal corporate structure. The group can grow without everything running through one person.
- Not the only believersFuture Food Fund, a specialist food and agritech fund, is one of the investors in Sensoterra. A party that knows that market reached the same conclusion.
- Room to growThe positioning is broad enough for new ventures and acquisitions, and narrow enough to still mean something.
We are not the only party that believes in these companies. Through Sensoterra, two investors came to sit alongside us, each from a different angle.
ROM Utrecht Region invested through its participation fund in August 2022, where Sensoterra sits under Earth Ventures — the branch for businesses working on the physical environment. Future Food Fund is a specialist venture capital fund for food and agritech in North-West Europe. When Sensoterra joined the group in 2025, they came with it.
That is more than a formality. It means two parties who know the market independently reached the same conclusion. With ROM Utrecht Region the connection even runs both ways: the same organisation is behind Earth Valley in Amersfoort, where we hold office.
