Energy transition
Using energy more efficiently, and making sustainable ecosystems possible.
Energy, raw materials, food and the places we live — that is where the next twenty years will be decided. They act on one another, and all four have to change. None of them works without people who know how. That can happen through a breakthrough, and it can happen through many small changes that add up. We look for both.
Using energy more efficiently, and making sustainable ecosystems possible.
Using scarce resources more sparingly. Often by using less, not more.
Producing food more sustainably, with less water and less loss.
Designing cities and landscapes for heat, drought and heavy rain. Holding water where it falls.
The foundation. Without skilled people, nothing happens.
Carries all of themThere is a fifth: the socio-economic transition. Broad prosperity, a fair distribution of costs and benefits, capital shifting towards what is sustainable. You don't solve that with a product — it takes policy and ownership. We build for these four, and for the foundation beneath them.
They work in different markets, with different customers and different technology. But at heart they do the same thing: they make something visible that was invisible before, and therefore easier to do well.
Trains the skilled people every transition needs.
Reads vehicle data — without fitting a single box.
Knows what the soil is doing, in over forty countries.
Makes sure goods take the shortest route.
Makes an organisation's knowledge usable.
Each company contributes to one or more transitions. Tap through for the full story.
Curious Inc started in 2002 as a student business. There was a plan, and above all there was curiosity — about what didn't exist yet. Driving schools had no software, so we built it. That pattern never went away.
Started as a student business. Dation is born — software for driving schools, where none existed.
Yeshugo. The first direct vehicle connection without hardware — with a Tesla.
ConnectedGreen joins the group.
Two acquisitions: Uitgeverij Smit into Dation, and Sensoterra into the group.
GoCurioo launches. The platform that unlocks an organisation's knowledge.
As the group grew, so did the need for structure. A management team arrived, a clear strategy, and acquisitions that were choices rather than opportunities that happened to pass by. That is why it keeps accelerating: seventeen years between the first two milestones, two acquisitions in a single year.
See the full timelineEvery company here began with a question nobody had asked. Can a vehicle share its data without a box being fitted? How does a landscaping firm know exactly how much water young plantings need? What if an organisation could question its own knowledge?
Curiosity isn't a character trait here, it's a method. We are good at turning a question like that into a company. That is what connects us — more than a market or a technology.
